Mariano Rivera + JBL
As one of the most highly respected professional baseball pitchers of the last quarter century, Rivera’s career as ‘power pitcher’ – not to mention his character on field – puts him in the pantheon of baseball greats. Known for his precision ‘cutters’, he was feared by even the greatest hitters, and was known for breaking bats with his fastballs. And yet he was held in high regard by all thanks to his cool conduct on and off the field. Some even referred to him as having ‘ice water in his veins’. Yet his entrance theme was ‘Enter Sandman’ by heavy-metal band Metallica, hardly the sound of ice! And that’s where JBL comes in. From the wail of Enter Sandman to the ‘thock’ of ball on bat, it’s JBL’s pursuit of the best sound reproduction in baseball stadiums across the States that gets you the fans going every time.
